Grand Hyatt DFW

We had a lovely dinner in the big lounge by check-in while watching the Super Bowl, then it was easy to get back to the luggage area for our delayed bags. The rooms were spacious and updated, with good TVs, effective AC, and views of the taxiways. For an airport hotel, it was easily the best one we've seen. We didn't expect much going in.

The quick, dependable room service and small touches like complimentary earplugs and quality toiletries are much appreciated when you're tired from traveling. Staff are attentive and professional, and sometimes remember returning guests by name. I use the Grand Hyatt DFW for very late arrivals and early flights because it's connected directly to the terminals. You can walk from your gate to your room without a shuttle. The renovated rooms feel fresh, with comfortable beds, good lighting, and spacious bathrooms. They're well insulated and restful, though every so often you might hear faint airport noise. It's pricier than the Hyatt Regency DFW, but the convenience, updated rooms, and quality make it worthwhile for a seamless airport stay.

The runway view was outstanding, the beds were comfortable, and service was exceptional. We had an evening snack in the lounge, including Caesar salad and crab cakes, then enjoyed an excellent breakfast: French toast, salmon Benedict, croque madame, and a great coffee press. The room had rich textures, a lovely design, and convenient amenities. A couple things didn't work well: the TV took 10-15 minutes to tune in each channel, and we had to leave it on and wait each time. The tub looked great but was basically a cold plunge because its temperature knob spun without changing anything, even though the volume knob worked. Shower pressure and temperature were just okay.

Everyone was so welcoming, from the front desk and bar staff to the shuttle driver. The rooms are spacious, and the service was great. I'll stay here again. Tip: return your rental car the night before your flight, then it's a short walk back to the hotel and the shuttle can take you to the terminal in the morning.
