The hotel looked nice and seemed decently clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. But the indoor pool and hot tub were being renovated during our visit, which was disappointing since that's one reason we picked this place. I understand they're keeping things nice, though. The shower water came out incredibly strongly, and we couldn't find a way to adjust it. My husband draped a towel over the shower head so I could shower without it feeling like little needles. The AC was also really loud and rattly, though that may depend on the room. When we first got to our room, we could hear the neighbors talking through the adjoining door. They weren't shouting, just having a conversation. We asked for a room without a connecting door, and either that helped or we got quieter neighbors. The valet also asked my name and then questioned it in a very condescending way. He'd misheard Christin as “Christian” and kept repeating it as though there were something wrong with being a Christian. It really bothered me.

When we got ready for my daughter's senior night, the bathroom sink pipe fell apart and water ran across the room. We called for maintenance, but housekeeping arrived with fresh towels instead. We had to pack up and switch rooms while trying not to be late. The new room wasn't much better: the toilet kept running after each flush, and we had to fix it ourselves. There was no manager or anyone else on site to talk to, and when I called to complain after checkout, the front desk agent hung up on me. The beds were uncomfortable, and breakfast was horrible too. This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. I'll never come back or recommend it to anyone.

I was there for just 14 hours and still felt I had to write this review. The hotel was being renovated, but the Bonvoy app didn't mention it. I'm a Platinum for life Marriott member, and the app's pictures and information were completely inaccurate. The rooms were only okay and so dimly lit. The bathroom has a poorly designed, badly made sliding door that doesn't shut, so you have to use the toilet and shower with it open. From check-in to checkout, the staff were unfriendly and stuffy, the worst I've encountered in years. The only friendly person was the valet who parked and brought back our car. Don't book this place. It's close to SMU, and they seem to rely on that instead of providing customer service. This is a hard no for me ever again.

The hotel itself was fine, but parking was an expensive hassle. There's no self-parking on site, only valet at $43 per night, even though this isn't downtown and self-parking should be easy to find. I still had to stand 30' away from my car and wait for an attendant, which felt like paying someone to waste my time. The hotel should explain this policy clearly before booking. If I'd known, I'd have picked somewhere else. Until they change the parking setup or disclose it clearly, I can't recommend staying here.

The second front desk associate managed to find me an accessible room, and I appreciated that. But when I arrived at The Beeman Hotel around 8:00 PM on January 14, I was told my confirmed reservation had been canceled and there were no rooms available. I’d received confirmation emails on January 12 and 13 for January 14-15 (Reservation #75411339). The associate I first spoke with was dismissive and unhelpful. I’m a repeat business guest, so the lack of professionalism was especially disappointing. I didn’t get the rude associate’s name, though I have a photo if that would help with follow-up.
