SpringHill Suites by Marriott Dallas NW Hwy/I35E

I won't be staying here again. While I was out, my earrings, wedding ring, and several necklaces went missing from the room. They mattered to me both for their value and sentiment. I had trusted that my belongings would be safe, and that trust was broken. Guests shouldn't have to worry that their things might be taken by the staff responsible for the room. The lack of security and accountability is unacceptable. If you stay, don't bring valuables. I'd think twice about staying at all.

The lobby looked newly renovated and always smelled nice, and breakfast had a good selection. Staff were friendly, and the hotel was quiet with not many people around. It's also close to places to eat, Walmart, and Target. I'd stay again.

I decided not to stay because the place didn't feel safe. It's across the street from a plasma donation center, and the gates were wide open, leaving anyone free to come in and do whatever to your vehicle. They also don't have pointed tips to discourage someone from climbing over. The gates felt pointless.

We were checked in quickly, and the woman at check-in was really nice. I'd seen some rough reviews and was worried, but the hotel and our spacious suite were very clean. There was a separate sitting area, and the couch opened into a twin bed with another twin that pulled out underneath. When we asked late for an extra blanket, the guys downstairs brought a good-sized comforter up fast. I could've stayed in that shower for an hour. The place felt safe, with security in the parking lot, and breakfast was hot and good, with eggs, bacon, biscuits, sausage, waffles, muffins, and more. It was better than I expected, and I'll look for a Springhill suites next time I book.
