The pool was closed for maintenance, the elevator broke completely on day three, and when I reached my third-floor room, my key had expired too. My room wasn't very clean at check-in either. There was a Breathe Right strip stuck under the bathroom sink. Rowdy junior college baseball players made noise all night throughout the property. I'd avoid staying here again. It reminded me why I usually book at a Hilton.
That BBQ place next door is fantastic, and this is one of my go-to hotels. Unlike newer Holiday Inns, it still has tubs for a hot soak after work, comfortable beds, and AC that gets properly cold. I stopped using many Holiday Inns because their thermostats only go down to 68 and I end up too hot. I check rooms now, and if they won't cool to 60 like they used to, I leave. This hotel still does, and I recommend it. A lot of recently renovated Holiday Inns have gone downhill, but this one is among the better ones.
For work, I stay here often, and I'll keep coming back to this Holiday Inn. I've tried many hotels around Enid, and most have been garbage. This is surprisingly one of the cleaner, better-kept Holiday Inns I've stayed in. The rooms and bedding are clean and well maintained, and the one time I had a toilet problem, they fixed it right away.
Lucas and Eunice made check-in great. When one of our cards stopped working, Lucas handled it right away, and Eunice kept us company with helpful recommendations while we waited. They were so caring and went above and beyond. This team needs more staff like them!
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfortable. Everything was super duper clean. Breakfast was decent, and the coffee machine makes a fresh, delicious cup each time.
