Wingate by Wyndham Dallas Love Field

The gated property felt safe to me, and check-in and checkout were quick and easy. Both elevators worked, and guests were using the pool and hot tub. The staff were friendly to me, though my husband wasn't treated as kindly. The location is handy for the Medical Center and right off the highway, with cheap rates, a small store with limited choices, and free breakfast available. We skipped breakfast. The club next door, near the purple building, stays open late. Its music and patrons were loud, so light sleepers should bring earplugs and ask for a room at the far end. I didn't go outside late at night, but I never felt unsafe. Our room needed attention before we unpacked. I cleaned it a bit, especially the closet, where there was a bright red sticky substance. A quick wipe made it much better. Other parts of the hotel need repairs, painting and caulking, and the couches and stools could use upholstery cleaning. It's not a terrible place if you're not too picky and want a cheap room for a night or two. I won't be back, but that's my choice.

The Love Airport Shuttle was on time and efficient, and the front desk staff were kind and welcoming. The room, though, was filthy. Whoever handles cleaning needs to do a much more thorough job, especially in the bathrooms and under things.

This was a terrible stay for a family. In our first hour, my son found panties behind the pillows on the second bed. I took them to the front desk, but they said they couldn't do anything since we were already in the room, then handed me fresh linen. The pool and hot tub were dirty, and the hotel is near both a dance club and a strip club. We heard and saw things that were very inappropriate for children. I won't recommend this place. I've contacted the BBB with this information.

I only found out when I called for a ride that the free airport shuttle goes to Dallas Love field only, not both Dallas airports. The representatives don't speak English well, and they hadn't explained that limitation when saying a shuttle was provided. If I'd known, I never would have booked here. They also told me I couldn't cancel and rebook at their sister hotel closer to DFW. Please be careful before you book.
