The beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and the service was friendly and quick. Even though we requested a smoking room, it smelled clean, and the air conditioning worked well. It was very affordable, too. The “balcony” is really the shared entryway outside the doors, but you can see the mountains from there. We’d stay again.

The male owner was respectful and gave excellent service, but the woman I assume is his wife was worse than rude. A family member later stayed there and came away with bites all over, saying there were roaches too, so maybe I was lucky not to stay myself. My card had been stolen and used to reserve a room. As soon as I got the alert, I called to cancel, but she refused and said there was an extra deposit. I asked for credit for a future night if they wouldn’t refund me, and she turned that down too. I’m now going through my bank, and still haven’t received a refund, even though you know nobody checked in or stayed. The way she spoke to me was unacceptable. I know a budget hotel isn’t five star, but people shouldn’t be treated like that. The way they respond to negative reviews also shows little regard for customers. They seem to have a few ways of getting money out of people. Maybe that works for them, but more integrity would surely bring in more.

It was quiet, and there weren’t the usual riffraff hanging around that you can get at this price. The motel is older and still being updated, but everything was very clean, with no odor, and the mattress and shower were new. Floors and mirror were clean, the TV worked, and everything else worked too. It’s handy to the highway, and the price was right. The pool was closed. Downtown Dalton has plenty of restaurants and anything else you might need.

The room was quiet on the back side, away from highway noise, and cleaner than average. No bugs or bedbugs, and I’d recommend it if you just need a good rest. There’s no continental breakfast, and the in-room phone didn’t work, even for calling the front office to ask where the ice machine was. The desk person was direct about the rules, which I understand. We paid $135, including a $35 deposit. At checkout they took 1-10 minutes to inspect the room for damage, then handed all $35 back. It was very peaceful, and I’d stay again in a pinch.
