The rooms themselves were nice, but the pot smell made the stay miserable. It was strong in the elevator and on the fifth floor, and my clothes picked it up. I asked the desk for a different room or floor, but they said they couldn't tell who was smoking. I eventually found the source in the neighboring room, 503. At this rate, I expected management to protect the property better. Maybe I'd accept it somewhere cheaper, but not from an upscale Hilton brand.

The omelets at breakfast were among the best I've had, and the restaurant is open even if it doesn't look like it. Breakfast costs extra, though qualifying Hilton Honors members can use their daily food credit. I'd definitely come back.

Ladybugs filled our room so badly that we couldn't get comfortable, and my skin has been itching since we left. When we raised it with management, the manager laughed and brushed us off instead of helping. We politely asked for her full name and the corporate contact number, and she called the police and made us leave. It was disrespectful and completely unprofessional. Guests shouldn't be treated that way for bringing up a real cleanliness and safety concern. I'd strongly tell people not to book here. The stress and poor treatment aren't worth it.

We booked through booking.com and only learned at check-in that the pool and hot tub were closed. The room price didn't reflect those unusable amenities. Our first king room on the sixth floor was plainly not cleaned: urine and body hair on the toilet and in the shower, spills and hair in the fridge, a dirty microwave, plus pet hair and dust. They moved us down the hall, opposite the staff rooms, but there were 20-30 ladybugs on the hallway ceiling and walls, some on the bed, and dead ones and peanut shells on the floor beside it. After we complained again, they said there'd be no accommodation because we used booking.com, and no manager would be available until maybe Monday. They didn't offer to clean up the bugs. There were signs saying to tell an associate if you were unhappy and they'd make it right, so I told the front desk they should take them down. She didn't seem to care. The rooms were outdated and poorly kept. We've stayed at Hilton before without trouble and don't usually mind paying more for a good visit. There's no continental breakfast either. Save your money and stay elsewhere. I asked for a manager to call about our complaints, but never got a call. I'll send my photos to Hilton directly as an official complaint about this property.

I can't see myself staying here again. I was here with a friend February 14-16, and nearly $700 for the stay was nowhere near worth it. At check-in we were hit with a $250 “locality” fee that hadn't been disclosed when we booked online, at least not clearly. We'd called several times before arriving and nobody mentioned it. The front desk woman said she'd reduce it to $150. We asked if she could do $100 and said we'd pay $150 if not; she called her manager, who insisted we pay the full $250 because it was Valentine's Day, despite her promise. We were fed up and paid it just to get to the room. The jetted tub we'd paid so much for was tiny. Two bottles of water on the counter cost $3 each, and weren't even cold. We used sink water for our microwave meals rather than pay that much for off-brand water. Ladybugs were everywhere, crawling over our food and drinks. I know they're common that time of year, but a large, expensive hotel should have dealt with them before guests came in. We waited two hours for towels, then had to call again to ask what was taking so long. The indoor pool was freezing the whole time. We ordered breakfast the next morning to get some value from the fee, but my order was wrong and the food was cold, not like it was cooked to order. The booking site said “breakfast included” without saying it cost extra, which is misleading. We paid almost $20 for breakfast worse than the free one at Days Inn. We were told room service could be brought up, but that wasn't true; my friend had to go downstairs for it. This was about the worst hotel stay I could have imagined. A cheaper place could've treated us 100 times better. The service was awful for what we paid, and I don't recommend it. Hilton Garden Inn needs to get its act together. I'm appalled by the owner's response to my review. They showed no interest in resolving anything and just dismissed the problems from our stay. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place now. Any issue you raise may be brushed aside. It's a horrible business.
