The receptionist was rude, the heater rattled all night, and my bed wasn't made or my toilet towel changed. They took care of other rooms and skipped mine, maybe because I'd paid in advance. The $100 hold also wasn't returned on checkout day, but two business days later. I had to clear snow myself to move my car, with no help. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The room was clean, comfortable, and great. Marie at the front desk, though, was extremely rude and unpleasant. She didn't welcome us at check-in or even say hello, and looked like she didn't want to be there. When my husband wanted to pay cash, she seemed annoyed.

Khristina kept things calm and organized while a snowstorm had a line of people waiting to check in. She was kind to everyone despite the rush. We learned she'd slept over because she couldn't get home, then saw her at breakfast working hard to look after guests. She's a wonderful person and helped make our stay comfortable.

We told the front desk the next morning, and they were great, asking if I was okay. The manager came to our room to hear what happened, but showed no sympathy or apology. She said, "You should know not to use the hot water without turning on the cold," and compared my burn to burning herself on a stove while talking on the phone, as if it were my fault. She was defensive when we showed her the water was 160 degrees, even though CT state regulations set 120 degrees as the maximum. She didn't want to include it in her incident report and said nobody else had complained, leaving it up to us what to do. I'd arrived after a long drive. I turned on the hot water to wash my hands, soaped up, then put my hands under it and got burned. I pulled away in under a second, but my hand was red and slightly swollen for 1.5 days. We only wanted to let them know the water was extremely hot. The manager's response was horribly unprofessional and unsympathetic. I'd strongly recommend staying elsewhere, since she blamed me for an injury caused by the hotel's faulty plumbing. One extra star for the helpful front desk staff.
