The location was convenient, near everything, and the hotel still felt peaceful at night. The room was spotless, roomy, and comfortable, with what I needed for a relaxing stay. Staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional from arrival. The pool and shared spaces were well kept and made the stay better. I’d gladly come back and recommend it to visitors.

The staff really made the stay for me. Everyone was friendly, kind, and helpful. My room was comfortable and clean, and it was handy being so close to the airport, beach, and restaurants. Good value for the money, and I’d come back.

We arrived at 11 a.m. after a cruise, expecting early check-in to be fine because that’s what I’d been told when I booked. Instead, the front desk employee seemed annoyed we’d come so early and then quoted a hefty extra charge. Nobody had mentioned a fee on the phone. I’d also asked when booking whether they could take us to the airport for a 7 a.m. flight. They said yes, but the shuttle doesn’t start until 8, so we had to arrange local transportation ourselves. Getting into the lobby was odd too. The door stays locked, and you have to stand by the Ring camera and press the button to be buzzed in. The room looked renovated at first, but it also felt worn. The bed was comfortable, though the bedding was just a flat sheet, a thin, rough, dingy brown blanket, and a decorative cover. There were two lumpy pillows per bed. We had no hand towels, just two mismatched stained washcloths and two very rough towels. A mildew smell got stronger the longer we stayed. At 4:40 a.m., when we turned the lights on to get ready for the airport, we saw a large cockroach and some smaller ones on the nightstand by the beds, plus a few big ones by the TV. We were urging our Uber driver to hurry up. After our flight, I saw I’d been charged more than three times the quoted early check-in fee. I emailed about it, and a man called back, left a voicemail, apologized, and said he’d corrected the mistake. It was fixed promptly, so I can’t fault them for that part. Still, we wouldn’t stay here again. I regret not taking the loss and booking somewhere else, even if we’d had to pay twice.

Our flight was delayed and then cancelled because of the weather, so we ended up here. The price was very high for what we got, and the Wyndham name had made me think we’d be in safe hands. What a letdown. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. The room still wasn’t ready at 7:30 at night, and someone was cleaning it. It smelled strongly of disinfectant, the tub was stained, and I didn’t want to walk around barefoot. It gave me the feel of a place rented by the hour. Breakfast was only granola bars, the towels were stained, and there was no free shuttle, even though we’d been told there was one.
