Baymont by Wyndham Danville IL

The beds were comfortable, but this felt like one of the laziest, worst-maintained hotels I've been to. The pool and hot tub were the only reason I stopped for the night, but they were shut down even though the hotel still advertises them. They say there isn't breakfast, yet what they serve is the most miserable, uncaring breakfast. Even the vending machines don't work. Don't stay here.

The location is fantastic, and I've never had a service issue, though I only check in and out. The rooms are a different story: an ant or two near the window, mold at the bottom of the shower curtain, old stained sheets, and no updated outlets or ports. I'd look at one of the other three or four places in the area.

The pool was still closed, but the warm shower and nice breakfast were the only decent parts. Our first room smelled like cigarette smoke. The next one was freezing and had no towels. The pillows had no cases, and our bed was missing a top sheet.

I paid for a week for two young men who were coming to work for me until payday, and I made that clear to the hotel. Once the paid time was up, they were supposed to handle it themselves. Instead, Baymont in Danville kept charging my card, refunding it, then charging it again. It was nuts. I finally disabled the card. I don't want my credit card run without my permission, whether it's on file or not.
