Rodeway Inn Davenport-Champions Gate

Our truck was being repaired, and this was where we were put up for the weekend. We lasted a little over an hour. The room smelled like nasty week-old food, and the microwave and fridge made us feel sick. There was mold around the tub and on the walls, random paint on the walls, and the bathroom fan didn't work. The soap and lotion dispensers had seen better days, and there were holes around the outside door. The place is under construction, but there still need to be standards. There were no-smoking signs everywhere, yet workers were smoking amid all the sawdust. Services were limited, and the coffee and other things they did provide were in the same area as the construction. Then, as we tried to leave, workers power-washed into the room and trapped us. Do not stop here.

Room 123 was absurd to rent. The mattress was stained and had no pad, and the sheets didn't fit. The bed was four inches too narrow, leaving metal exposed along the side that could scrape your leg if you forgot about it. There was only one bedside lamp, nowhere to put toiletries except the shower floor, and the towel rack was rusty.

The prices are amazing, and my family is comfortable here every time. The staff are great and always try to help. The rooms are clean, the sheets spotless, and the bathrooms look beautiful after the upgrades. Staying here is always a pleasure, and I'll come back whenever I'm in Davenport.

The location is great, and the price is definitely a reason to check this hotel out. My room was clean and the staff were helpful. They're remodeling now, and it should be a nice place to stay once the work is finished.
