The sledding was a blast, though at 61 I found the ride up a little tough on my back. Some core strength would help. The staff at the sledding run were very, very nice. We had a wonderful time at Black Water Falls lodge. Our room was clean and warm, and the pool and pool area were warm too, which made our 4 year old granddaughter so happy. The staff were wonderful, and the restaurant team was extremely helpful. The food was very good. If you’re visiting BWF, plan to eat there since it’s the only game in town. A wonderful experience, with great memories.

The lodge was so clean and comfortable, and I felt more at home there than I ever have at a hotel or lodge. There are lots of nearby hikes, and the sledding was so much fun. A great spot for a little getaway, highly recommend.

A beautiful place with wonderful people, and we left with great memories. There must have been 500 steps throughout the park, so be ready for a climb if you want to explore from the lodge. Absolutely incredible experience!

The cabin was cozy, with a full kitchen, Wi-Fi, one TV, and porches at both the front and back. They supplied towels, bedding, toilet paper, trash bags, and dish soap, though we had to do without paper towels. The beds were comfortable enough, and the lodge had plenty to use, including the restaurant, pool, hot tub, lounge, gift shop, board games, and comfy chairs. We came for a long weekend with the kids and bought tickets for the sled run. The main drawback was distance: our cabin was an eight-minute drive from the lodge, so meals meant getting in the car instead of taking the short walk we expected. We still really enjoyed the stay.

People come here for the scenery, and it really delivers. The fall view is breathtaking, and I can imagine it being gorgeous in winter too. I could talk about the hotel and staff, but the views are the real highlight.
