The view from breakfast on the 9th floor is pretty nice, and the breakfast itself is standard hotel fare with no complaints. Rooms are acceptable, though the whole hotel feels empty. Some staff are fantastic and others just okay. They’re remodeling floors 2 through 8, but I didn’t hear construction while I was there. One thing to know: don’t check in with multiple rooms on one reservation. Their system doesn’t handle that well. The digitally printed keys probably won’t work, and even if they do, they may stop working during your trip. Downloading the key to Google Wallet or Apple Wallet seems the best option, as long as you remember to bring your phone everywhere, even to breakfast.

The bed is comfortable, and the room is fine, though I’m not a fan of the industrial look or having no carpet. The tub is hard to get in and out of with that half-glass wall, and it needs a grab bar. Housekeeping is provided every third day, including tidying, trash removal, making the bed, and replacing towels. That could work if there were enough towels to start with. Two towels for two adults over three nights wasn’t enough, and the body wash in the shower was empty. I want the bed made while I’m at a hotel. Thank goodness I’m somewhat tech savvy. Would I recommend this place? Nope.

The shower was amazing, the beds were so comfortable, and the staff were helpful and informative. The hotel itself was nice and beautiful. There’s a pointless door that opens onto a wall, which was the only downside. It’s very convenient being connected to the convention center. I had a nice stay and would come back.

We never got to stay because our booking date was wrong, and even after they said it was fixed, it still showed Sunday instead of Saturday. I booked online for Saturday, then got an email on Friday saying Sunday. I used the text system to fix it and was told it was sorted. When we arrived Saturday, the reservation was still for Sunday. I was in line with two other people who also had booking problems, and another line had people waiting for towels and body wash. The receptionist was kind but couldn’t help because her support team wasn’t responding. She said they’d get back to me. After a 30-minute wait, the person texting apologized for giving us wrong information and said they’d be glad to welcome us Sunday. We didn’t need a room Sunday, and none were available, so we had to find another hotel at the last minute. At least we got a refund.

We came for a wedding across the street and had a great experience. The staff were amazing and responsive, and made sure we could celebrate the bride and groom. You can walk to lots of essentials, so we didn’t need to drive. Everything we had was delicious. Go to Val’s Bakery, you won’t regret it. We also got our hair done at Square One, and they did a great job for a good price.
