South Shores Motel

My son and I had a great time while we were in town for welcome to Rockville! This was an awesome price for four days right on the beach. It's a nice little hideaway in south daytona, with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

For the price, this wasn't bad, and the place is beachfront. We had a frustrating start because the front desk didn't know about our reservation when we arrived. That can happen with a virtual travel agent, so I can give some grace there. Still, the Wi-Fi didn't seem to reach our room and the A.C. didn't work. We were in room 102, so hopefully it was just bad luck. I'd consider trying again, though in the middle of summer we'll definitely need working A.C. There's no pool, and the front desk closes at 11, so after a certain time there's no one to call.

The rooms were great for the price, and Kathy at reception was very sweet. They're upgrading the place, so I'm excited to come back next holiday.

The staff were really friendly and attentive, and made sure we had a great stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a perfect view of the ocean.
