Budget Inn of Daytona Beach

The only room available was for smokers, so it had a strong smoke smell and the facilities showed some wear. I brought air freshener, which helped, and would still stay here again. The price was competitive with nearby places. The inn is run by a husband and wife, and they were both attentive and did what they could to make my stay comfortable. Thank you.

The towels and shower curtain were moldy, and there were bugs on the bed. We bought Lysol and sprayed the room, but the smell wouldn't go away, so we slept in our clothes. This can't be a two- or three-star hotel. I had booked two nights, but checked out the next morning. They did refund the second night. If you're thinking of booking, reconsider.

The rooms were okay, but there were bed bugs. I told the clerk, and he promptly said he hadn't known about it and would take care of it. I appreciated that much.

My husband and I come here a few times a week to get away from everything for a night and spend time together. We love it. Management is very nice to us, the rooms are clean, the beds are great, and the pillows are soft. The owners clearly care about the property and the rooms. For a respectable person on a tight budget, this is definitely the place to go. In this area, we've tried other hotels where we got bed bug bites or felt surrounded by dirt. That's not been our experience at Budget Inn. The rooms don't smell like years of drug use and sex, and even if that had happened there, they do a great job cleaning.
