Celebrity Hotel is right on Main Street, with a lobby full of fun slots, and that location is one big reason we’ll stay here whenever we come back to Deadwood. Ken, the manager, greeted us and put us in room 210, which exceeded our expectations. He helped us out of a terrible booking.com experience, and both he and Roxanne were so kind throughout our stay. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and ready to help. Our room was spotless, well cared for, and inviting, with a very comfortable bed. Cleanliness and guest comfort clearly matter here. Between the welcoming staff and the cozy room, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Celebrity Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it.

Ken and Bill were wonderful hosts at this charming little gem. They made our Thanksgiving special, sharing great stories about the hotel’s history and listening to us talk about why greyhounds are such great dogs. We’d love to come back, and we’ll tell visitors to stop in for good drinks, a lovely atmosphere, and amazing hosts.

We’re in room 210 for our final night of a quick trip from Montana to Minnesota for a funeral, and I think it’s the "John Wayne Suite". After three nights in places ranging from awful to pretty nice, I wanted my wife and me to have one really good room. We found it here. The suite feels high-end and has a spacious living room with a comfortable sofa bed, a nice chair and ottoman, wet bar, entry closet, TV, half bath, and a gas fireplace that isn’t working right now. Several high-end light fixtures let you choose the mood or conversation lighting. Double doors separate the living and bedroom areas, and another set leads to the en-suite bathroom. The bedroom opens through large glass doors onto a shared balcony overlooking Deadwood’s old main street. The king bed and linens are comfortable. There’s a built-in chest of drawers between closets with luxury robes and a personal-item safe. This room has another gas fireplace, and it works. The lighting has plenty of options here too. The bathroom is as large as some rooms I’ve stayed in. It has a beautiful shower with two spray heads and room for two, a large jetted tub whose drain didn’t seal well, a lovely vanity, a timed heated towel rack, and a separate toilet room. There are good lighting options for both mood and getting things done. The website photos are accurate. For the value, this suite is very good. It was only $3.00 more than a suite at a Country Inn in West Minneapolis, and that room was just OK while this one is exceptional. We may have caught an off-season rate, since we’re here October 5th. We’ll definitely return, and stay more than one night next time.

The Celebrity’s right in the middle of everything, and the rooftop deck was really nice. We had a great room, and the front desk, floor, bar, and cleaning staff were all great. We had to leave a day early because of an issue at home with one of our pets. Pets are family, and the front desk handled it very well. From check-in onward, everyone made us feel welcome. Highly recommend staying here.

The memorabilia and decor throughout the place are really cool, and it’s a beautiful little hotel and casino. Staff were friendly, and the rooms were great. The walls are so thin, though. A drunk woman made noise from midnight to 4 a.m., and it felt like she was in our room. We couldn’t sleep. The morning staff were very apologetic.
