Deadwood Station Bunkhouse

The rooms were spacious, the price was good, and the motel is on the trolley line. Housekeeping was the problem. One day after we'd been out riding, we came back to find the door left open and no clean towels. We guessed the housekeeper went to get towels and forgot to return. Luckily nothing was missing. Near the end of the stay, I'm pretty sure she folded our floor towels and put them back as clean, since two of the three were wet. Even so, we'd give the place another try.

It was quiet, warm, and clean, and fine for the price. It's a simple place, as other reviews say. The hand and body soap was awful. It wouldn't even snap in half or soften under warm water, which felt weird. The casino is just machines. My ex said the bartender treated him rudely.

This laundromat is filthy and badly maintained, with broken machines. I called to report it and got only, “I'll let maintenance know.” It's really not a great place. The Sturgis laundromat is much cleaner and better, and it's worth driving there to do laundry.

We chose this motel after reading the reviews and weren't expecting anything fancy. Still, I expected fitted sheets that stayed on the bed, and blankets and a bathroom floor that weren't sticky. I showered in flip-flops and got through it. The location was good and the price was pretty good.
