The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, and that huge shower was a plus. We could walk to historic downtown Deadwood in under 10 minutes, too. What really stood out was how welcoming they were to our dog: at check-in he got a toy, bowl, and homemade treat, and there’s a big first-floor area where dogs can run off leash. They even had chairs and doggie bags available. We’d gladly stay again. Getting to the hotel takes a little figuring out. Because the building is historic, you have to go through the casino to reach it.

This has become our regular spot whenever we come to Deadwood. The hotel, casino, and concert venue are all great, and Heidi always looks after us. I highly recommend it.

I come here regularly, but I can barely stand the menu at Dale's. The choices are awful and the prices are terrible. How can a casino restaurant not offer a fillet steak or ribeye? Management really needs to step in.

They charged us $280 a night and then charged us twice, and we still haven't gotten the money back. We're still trying to sort it out, even though we've shown them the duplicate charge, and the manager refuses to refund it. I'd avoid staying here if you want to keep your money, or be prepared to pay $560 for one night.

Kenny at the lobby was so helpful and friendly, just a joy to deal with. The king room was fabulous, and breakfast at Dale's was a lovely surprise. The staff really rocks. I was confused when I first came in, and other guests helped me out. The two-elevator setup takes some getting used to. Highly recommend!
