Courtyard Decatur

The employee who checked us in on 4/26 had only been on the job for two days, but saw us struggling with our luggage and brought a cart out to us. That's why I'm giving five stars. The place was super clean, quiet, and comfortable, though I was disappointed by the missing amenities: no hot tub as advertised, no water, newspaper, or breakfast.

The service was attentive and friendly, and the rooms were clean and updated, with a fridge and microwave. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. A great place to stay if you're in the area.

I haven't dealt with a nicer group of people at any hotel. Susan Morrow was the kindest person I've spoken with, and made setting up a corporate rate for my company feel effortless. Brenda at the front desk was also incredibly helpful when I needed to change a reservation. Maybe this is just because I'm used to a bigger town, but wow, this place is great. I'm looking forward to working with you all for the next year or more!

After a really hard trip, I was so glad we chose this hotel. The whole place was spotless, and our rooms felt nearly new. Hotel carpets can seem sketchy, but these looked recently installed or steam cleaned, with fresh colors and no stains. I couldn't find mold or dirt anywhere. Our room had an enormous TV and even a balcony. The AC was ice cold, the beds were incredibly comfortable, better than the condo we'd stayed in the week before that cost thousands of dollars, and it was whisper quiet the whole time. There was a Starbucks inside, limited as it was, which was a nice extra. There are lots of restaurants nearby, with enough variety for even picky eaters. The one issue was a clogged sink in our room, though I only noticed it after using it for a bit. If we travel through Alabama again, I'll definitely stay here. For the price, I don't think you'll find a nicer place.
