Fairfield Inn & Suites Decorah

We arrived to find blood stains on the sheets and bedding, a biohazard left in our room. When we tried to alert the staff on site, they didn't apologize or help. Management's response was, "come on really your one of those people." The manager showed discrimination toward me and my family. We were very displeased with the stay, and management here is very poor. Please do something to fix this. Bodily fluids have contaminated my family.

The employees were great, and breakfast was decent, about what I've had at other hotels. The room was nice and well maintained, and the desk in the corner was awesome. But the bed felt like a rock with a thin piece of padding on it.

I keep choosing this clean, modern Marriott in Decorah because I'm loyal to the brand, and its location is convenient. The rates are higher than other local options, though. During several stays, I've found that recognition for elite members is limited. For instance, there's no complimentary water in the rooms, and staff have declined requests for it. That may be the policy, but it affects the experience as a loyal member. The hotel meets my needs when I visit family, though if another Marriott were available nearby, I'd likely consider it.

Great location and customer service. Tony is a rock star and takes exceptional care of guests.
