We keep returning to Deer Harbor Inn because the rooms feel homey, clean, and comfortable, and the people are friendly and engaging. It suits us when we're after quiet and nature. The harbor is close enough for a walk down to the dock, where we like to sit with coffee.

It's a remote drive from Eastsound, but the place has a character of its own. Our cliffside bluff room was warm, cozy, and relaxing, and the hot tub had a wonderful view. Check-in was easy, with little to no interaction with the host. There's also a great on-site restaurant for anyone who likes BBQ.

We spent our days hiking and exploring, so a simple place to sleep was all we needed, and this worked well for that. The rooms are only just big enough for two single beds and a bathroom. It's small, but cute in a rustic way, with nice common areas. For the money, it's good.

The shower seems to be fixed on one setting, and the water was too hot for my scalp and face. I stayed in Room #7, where the TV wasn't working when I checked in. The room itself was cozy and just big enough for two guests.

We had a wonderful stay and would choose the lodge again. Although no one was actively staffing the office or lodge, we found a small bag with our name and room number, a printed welcome letter, and an island map. The lodge was well lit, and we didn't need anything else. Extra toiletries and coffee supplies were easy to find, and the hot tub area was welcoming and ready to use.
