The rooms are clean and work really well for families if you book a suite. The beach is just across the parking area, and each room comes with two chairs. The pool is nice, but gets so crowded it’s almost impossible to find a chair. Most staff were helpful. Valeria is incredible, always smiling and ready to help, though a few of the others were cold and rude. The restaurant can be slow and pricey, but breakfast is amazing, especially the made to order omelettes. The man working there is very nice and remembers your order. It’s a good hotel for families with kids.

The location is great for families who want space and easy beach access, and we went to the beach each morning. Chairs and towels are provided, but you pay extra for an umbrella. Every pool chair had been claimed by 8 am. Breakfast was plentiful, and the omelet chef was amazing, remembering our order each day. Lunch took a different turn: the Wednesday before the holiday weekend, we waited more than an hour for sandwiches. We ran into several issues over the holiday weekend. The living room bathroom toilet wasn’t clean when we arrived. On day two, plumbing problems came up in the bedroom bathroom, and it was clear housekeeping hadn’t cleaned it. It took three requests to get someone to fix the toilet. We asked to check out early and were charged an upcharge despite Diamond status, though given the weekend, we understood. The place ran out of water we normally get free during our stays, and only told us when we asked, with no alternative offered. Later we were given multiple fees for staying 1-2 hours past checkout after being told it would be complimentary. Luckily, we had the texts. It’s unfortunate we had these problems and miscommunications.

The beach is just steps away, and many rooms have balconies accessible from both sides. The breakfast area was lively and clean. There have been some light updates, though the property still feels older. We usually pick Embassy Suites by Hilton for family trips because the two-room suites and pull-out couch give us the space and comfort we need. This location was even better, since our suite had two full bathrooms. Great location and very family-friendly.

We came for a friends’ trip on what turned out to be the coldest South Florida weekend in a decade. It’s mainly a beach resort, but we still had a great time despite the weather and look forward to returning next year, hopefully when it’s warmer. This isn’t peak luxury, but it’s excellent value. Everyone on staff we dealt with was welcoming and helpful. The ocean is steps away, and there’s a large, well-kept heated pool plus a hot tub. The gym is well equipped with a peloton, cable machine, several flat benches, free weights, kettlebells, and different cardio machines. Lunch and dinner at the onsite restaurant were only average, a bit pricey, and understaffed. Guests get 15% off their check, but you have to ask, and mandatory gratuity is added to every check. Breakfast is free for all guests and a definite highlight: made-to-order omelets, a big buffet, waffle station, and more. Embassy Suites always seem to have the best free hotel breakfasts, and this one didn’t disappoint. Each evening from 5-6:30pm, the restaurant also hosts a reception with free drinks and unlimited snacks, including chips and salsa, fresh vegetables and dips, and crackers like goldfish and Chex mix. We went out more than we might have in warmer weather, and were pleasantly surprised that the City of Deerfield Beach offers tourists free rideshares between hotels and the shopping and restaurant district.
