Phil & Anns Sunset Motel

The grounds are full of colorful flowers and blooming plants, and the rooms are impressively clean and well maintained. After owning a home in the area for years and selling it this summer, I needed somewhere to stay nearby. Our twin-bed room was small, but it had cable TV, a microwave, a small fridge, and a portable ice maker. The wall-mounted heat and AC unit kept the temperature just right through the changing early October weather. I'd highly recommend this motel and will stay again. The website lists its amenities.

The beds were comfortable, and it's a great base for a few days of sightseeing and seafood. Check-in is by phone, despite what several sites say about a front office. The grounds are right beside Rt 1, so you hear some traffic. They were improving the grounds during our stay, and one afternoon workers were on the roof of our unit, number 15. The Wi-Fi was poor: on three devices, neither network showed up about half the time, and when it did connect, the signal was very weak.

Phil and Ann’s Sunset Motel was a great pick for one night with our dog, close to the beach. The room was clean, the person checking us in was friendly, and it cost a lot less than the other places I looked at. Beaches and restaurants are nearby, and the place has a really sweet vibe.

We had a great weekend with friends at Phil and Ann's, and had stayed here four or five years ago too. The grounds kept us busy, with mini golf, a sandbox, shuffleboard, bocce, horseshoes, badminton, a hammock, and two bonfire areas. We grilled burgers and hot dogs on the small grill at a picnic, using one of the two tables with umbrellas. The pool was lovely, with chairs, tables, loungers, and pool noodles. Our rooms were very clean, and the king bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. In the room there was a microwave, small fridge, single cup Keurig, coffee pods, creamer, sugar, cups, stirrers, and an ice maker.
