The smell was awful, either like fresh roach spray or lingering marijuana and cigarette butts. The bathroom was filthy too, with mold on and inside the walls and ceiling, plus mold, lime, and mildew built up in the shower. It needs heavy-duty CLR. Staff feed the local chickens, so expect droppings on your car in the morning. I will never stay at Extended Stay America again. Avoid this place.

This isn't a high-end place, and that's fine. For me, being able to pay nightly, weekly, or monthly as I could afford it made a huge difference. I was homeless and had nowhere to go, especially with first, last, and security deposits to deal with. ESAP in Deerfield Beach, FL helped me move from sleeping in my truck to sleeping in a bed. The rates felt fair and among the best around. If you're in a similar situation and can manage a room, I'd say give them a try. I'm glad I did, and grateful to ESAP.

The room was just okay, but the sink wouldn't drain, the tub and shower were falling apart, mold was coming out of the A/C, and the heat didn't work. Breakfast was a joke: stale, bitter coffee with hydrogenated oil and granola bars. No eggs, fruit, milk, or cereal, and they wouldn't even provide milk or cream for the coffee.

After a long day on the road, I arrived a little after 2 AM with a confirmed reservation. The night manager said he couldn't check me in because the system was doing inventory and would take 15 minutes. There wasn't a couch or chair in the lobby, so I stood waiting for over half an hour. When I asked for an update, he told me to wait quietly and that he'd call me when it was ready. I left instead. He was extremely rude, and the lobby smelled terrible. I'm glad I walked out.
