Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Defiance by IHG

We’ve been here for the past two nights, and Jessica, Heather, and the new gal Stacey made the stay such a good experience. They were kind and courteous at check-in, answered a few random questions, and made everything easy. Just wanted to give those three women a shout out for the quality care they give. Thanks again!

The staff were so welcoming, and Jess really went out of her way to make us feel like family. Breakfast had a good selection and the service was great. The rooms and halls were very clean, too. It’s a wonderful, recently renovated hotel right off the highway, with easy access to shopping and restaurants.

Jess and Tammy at the front desk were the kindest, friendliest, most helpful people I’ve met at any hotel, and the cleaning staff went above and beyond too. The room was immaculate and had what we needed for a comfortable home away from home. Breakfast was great as well. I don’t know what the staff earn, but I’m sure it isn’t enough for all they do. My family really appreciated Jess and Tammy’s help, more than they’ll know. I’ll 1000% be back. Credit where it’s due! ❤️❤️

I was able to get food and sleep here, but don’t count on relaxing with the TVs. My so-called suite had two large sets, and neither was usable. The remotes needed multiple digits to change channels, there were no instructions, and the front desk couldn’t help. Both TVs were stuck on HDMI, probably from a previous guest’s computer, so I couldn’t get regular programming. It was easy enough to find Spanish-speaking stations and cartoons, but the guide listed 99 channels while the station I wanted was supposedly on 42. That’s hardly a useful guide. A suite with two TVs should come with working remotes and clear directions. Staff weren’t responsive, which made the whole thing more frustrating. I can’t recommend this hotel unless they fix this and give guests proper guidance.
