Sunbright Inn

The beds were unbelievably comfortable. I'm still wondering what kind of mattresses they use. Every part of the Inn feels thoughtfully preserved, restored, designed, and arranged, with so much care and dedication behind it. Staying there really feels like stepping back into the Victorian era for a little glimpse of life then. I absolutely recommend it, have no complaints, and will definitely come back.

We were in town to visit family and needed extra room, and staying here was such a treat. The inn is beautiful and meticulously kept. With my master's degree in historic preservation, I noticed the detail throughout the rooms and shared spaces. It still feels updated for modern needs, too. The bathroom was huge, the bed felt luxurious, and the fireplace was a cozy bonus, with an option to use it without heat, which suits Florida. The smart TV, cute mini fridge, and microwave were handy, and the morning muffins and cookies were a lovely surprise. We ran around nearby Lake Defuniak and saw other beautiful historic homes, a nice walk right from the inn. We'll be back.

The Sunbright Inn has taken the top spot for me among beautiful historic places to stay. Our one-night visit felt special since we were the only ones checking in. We had a great time in the Queen Anne room, then put on holiday music, opened the door, and enjoyed coffee and dessert together in the main living room. The whole property, right down to the grounds, is perfectly renovated, with everything brought back from the turn of the century.

There were four senior ladies in our group, and our stay was extraordinary. The Inn, the rooms, and the decor were spectacular, and the host helped with anything we needed. We came to see the lights around the lake. We'll certainly tell our family and friends about this beautiful place.
