We’ve stayed at L’Auberge several times and keep enjoying it. It’s cozy, has a friendly feel, and is boujee in a good way. The location is handy, a short walk from the beach with scenic views, and close to lots of shops and restaurants. We especially love dining at Adelaide, the hotel restaurant. It’s still our favorite place to eat in Del Mar, and we plan to keep coming back.

Abigail was amazing helping us with our booking. The hotel’s beach is within walking distance, and the dog beach is just a short drive away, which was really convenient since we brought our dog. Everything was perfect, and we’ll definitely return!

We finally got to stay at our dream hotel after 15 years of living in Del Mar, moving to the East Coast, and coming back to visit family. The ocean view was fantastic. Thanksgiving brunch was expensive, but the food was excellent, and after 20 years I was glad not to cook for once. The Christmas tree was beautiful, the restaurant service was excellent, and the food was phenomenal. The view made the stay special. Our first room was beside the valet area and a busy street, which wasn’t ideal. We reported a sink problem, but it stayed unfixed for the whole week. On the last day, we were upgraded to an upstairs room with an ocean view, and that was much better. The front desk were helpful and supportive, and maintenance and housekeeping were very attentive. Like many San Diego experiences, this one had its ups and downs.

The Spa was incredible, and my wife and I had the best couples massage ever. L’Auberge also showed great service when we needed headache medicine after checking in. The gift shop and coffee bar were already closed, but the friendly young woman at the desk went to get the key, let us in, and sold us some. In most hotels, the conversation would have ended with the shop being closed. That was amazing.

We often hold business meetings at L’Auberge, and clients and colleagues are always impressed by the setting, attentive service, and care with the details. The food is outstanding, fresh and beautifully presented, and the timing is just right. My wife and I come back often for breakfast with ocean breezes or dinner at sunset, and the experience is consistently excellent. From the valet greeting when we arrive to the last bite, the team is warm, professional, and hospitable. Each visit reminds us why L’Auberge Del Mar is one of our favorite places.
