The resort amenities are surprisingly nice, with an outdoor pool, a kids’ pool, a hot tub, a gym, free Starbucks coffee in the lobby, and more. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, pots, pans, and even a blender. The rooms are quite large, and the shower water pressure is amazing. The hotel does feel a little older, and the hallways smell a bit funky. Service is good, and the lobby is open 24/7. If you have a car, it’s a great location for getting around SD. There’s a HEYTEA and OMOMO tea shoppe nearby too. I don’t think there are many public transit options.

The bed was comfortable, and the room had a nice setup with two bathrooms and a kitchen that worked fairly well. Getting it cleaned requires 24 hours' notice, which feels like too much. Some people at the desk also came across as if they didn't really care.

The ground-floor patio was only steps from the pool and hot tub, and the room itself was incredible. Its kitchenette had more than I expected, and having free laundry on site was a big help when I needed to dry bathing suits. I was also surprised by how easy it was to get around on foot, with lots of restaurants and shops within a 15-minute walk. My favorites were Tony's Jacal for Mexican dinner and John's Market for breakfast. The Fish Market store/restaurant next door was a nice treat too. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I came for a weekend concert at the nearby venue The Sound at Del Mar, and I'm really glad I chose this place. I'd love to spend more time here if I have a reason to return to the Solana Beach/Del Mar area. Winner's Circle Resort is a real winner.

Being across from the horse track is handy, and San Diego, the beaches, nothing county, and wineries are all convenient to reach. Really nice resort, it's great!

The outdoor areas were quite nice, with a pool and Jacuzzi, plus a pool table, ping pong table, and fire pits. The rooms, though, were noisy, and one smelled of bacon while the other had a mildew smell. This isn't a resort hotel, it's a timeshare condo co-op, so there's very little of the service you'd expect at a resort.
