The DeLand Hotel

We rented nearly all the rooms for two nights for our wedding party, and it worked perfectly for a group. There are only 12 rooms, but the place has a character the other two nearby hotels didn’t match, and the price for all the rooms was good. We could walk downtown for nightlife, and there’s a bar downstairs plus a small restaurant in back. When we arrived, we toured one another’s rooms because every room was different. Ian does a phenomenal job maintaining the early 1900s look, with period correct details throughout. My husband and I absolutely adore this hotel and would recommend it to anyone needing a place in Deland.

The room had been updated, though the property still has that old fashioned bed and breakfast feel. We loved the place, including its bar and restaurant. Such a hidden gem, and we’d definitely return.

The ride to Rockville took about 25 minutes on quiet roads with barely any traffic, and it was easy. We were there with friends, and all of us loved this historic hotel, with its character and cute details. The room and hotel were spotless, and it felt like home right away. I also felt very safe throughout the stay, both in town and on the property. As a young woman traveling, the calm, polite, trusting feel among the people I met really stood out. Everyone on staff was genuinely kind, with actual southern charm. The restaurant at the hotel served great food at prices that felt very reasonable, especially for 2025. I ate well without spending too much, and it was nice to have a good meal close by. My friends and I will definitely come back. Many thanks.

A lovely evening in a quaint hotel, and a nice change from chain hotels. The restaurant and bar were excellent, the food was delicious, and the staff were wonderful. Ian, the owner, was very accommodating. I’ll stay again.
