Motel 6 Delano, CA

We arrived at 6:00 and left around 10:45, and I have proof. We didn't stay for either extension. During those four hours, the people upstairs made constant banging and other disruptive noises. I showed the front desk manager a video, and she rolled her eyes and said, verbatim, “I believe you.” She told us she'd called the room above twice and they said they weren't making noise. That's not true. She also didn't offer us another room right away. She said none were available because they were short staffed. After I asked for a refund, a room suddenly became available. We asked for our money back because we had a 16 hour drive ahead after already driving about 6 hours. We were supposed to reach our destination in two days, but the manager's unprofessional, dishonest behavior added another day to the trip. I nearly wrecked the 16 foot Penske moving truck from exhaustion. I'm writing because your Motel 6 response note slandered my wife. I have proof of the incident, and given that response, a legal expert may or may not be reviewing this. Your business practices are dishonest and ugly, like the dirty building covered in black widow spiders that we had the displeasure of trying to stay in. Stop lying. Slander is illegal. You owe us an apology and a refund. Anyone on a long trip who needs sleep should not stay here. I'm not unreasonable, though, go stay and find out for yourself, then leave a review :)

It started off nicely, but turned into the worst motel experience I've had. Noise from the room above kept us from sleeping: nonstop hammering, stomping, and a sound like a power drill. We asked to switch rooms and were told there wasn't one available. When we asked for a refund, they refused, then offered a different room. They said they'd called upstairs twice and been told there was no noise, but that wasn't true. We got no sleep at all and had a long drive ahead. The customer service was terrible.

The stay was fine until checkout, when I was charged for towels and sheets. They said I'd wiped food-covered hands on a towel and that there was a mark on the sheets they thought was makeup, though I don't wear makeup. They said the charge was because the stains might not come out. But when I asked for the items, they said they'd use them for cleaning.

This place is a SCAM!! They never clean the rooms. They kept my $50 cash deposit, saying five bath towels were soiled, and that each towel cost $10. Do NOT stay here, they'll steal your money!
