The breakfasts were a highlight: we had chicken and waffles one morning and a Southwest omelet the next, plus fresh fruit and pastries. Both meals were incredible. Jennie and Mark took great care of us, and the house was beautifully decorated. Upstairs are two spacious, comfortable bedrooms with a shared bath split across the hallway, with the shower on one side and the rest of the bathroom on the other. The stairs up from the first floor are steep; my wife has some trouble with stairs but managed them each night. There was a little table with two chairs and cookies waiting when we arrived, along with a rocking chair. The bed was comfortable, and we slept very well. We stayed two nights and couldn't have been happier.

We had a wonderful stay and only wished we could have stayed another night. The place was spotless and comfortable, the food was outstanding, and we enjoyed chatting in the mornings. Jennie and mark were terrific hosts from the moment we arrived.

After a long work week, this was a relaxing way to get away. The bed and breakfast made sure we had what we needed, and breakfast was fantastic. Thanks, Mark & Jennie, for making it such a memorable stay.

The owner told us several stories about the home's past, including how a room was used to shelter people escaping slavery through the underground railroad. It was a lovely home, with excellent food and wonderful hospitality.
