Atlantic Hideaway

I was here for a week on a business trip, and the quiet property made it easy to relax and get work done. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. Parking was easy too, both real pluses for a work stay. The location is especially convenient, close to everything and within walking distance of the beach and Atlantic Avenue. I could take a morning walk by the water or grab dinner after work. I’d gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Delray Beach.

We loved our stay and even added two more nights. It was very reasonably priced for the area, with a great location right by Pineapple Grove and a short walk to Atlantic Ave. The beach is a longer walk, but we rented a bike across the street, and there’s also a free shuttle. There’s a cute courtyard, though it was too warm for us to stay outside long. After our long drive from Jersey, early check-in was amazing, and getting settled was quick and easy. We had a clean, cute standard king room with a small fridge, desk, dresser, clothing rack, and drawers, so there was plenty of storage. The bathroom had a decent-sized walk-in shower and mini toiletries. We brought our cat, and the hotel was very pet friendly. I’m not sure why people say there’s no staff on site. We saw the owner often, and she always asked if we needed supplies. It’s not a giant chain with a 24-hour concierge, and they seem to keep normal office hours, but someone was always reachable. We really enjoyed the stay and would recommend it.

I paid $289 for the room through a booking website, then got charged registration and parking fees on top of that. The parking spot is right next to the sidewalk, and I can’t see the value in an extra charge like this. I’ve hosted Airbnb suites and was appalled by the fee. Decent hotels include free parking or just work it into the base price. I tried to reason with the owner, but he refused, and the whole thing felt deceptive. Room 14 looked like a converted living room, with just one small window that wouldn’t open. I had to breathe harsh disinfectant odors all night. It may have cost less than nearby hotels, but I won’t return and would rather pay more for better consideration. Shame on this hotel. You should be better than this.

The rooms are lousy, basic cheap motel style, with no amenities. There was a strong chemical cleaning smell and no coffee creamers. Almost $300 after taxes, fees, and parking is way too expensive. You can find a much better place for less money. The owner doesn’t care about your trip or feedback, so don’t bother.
