The Village Inn

I paid for a week in a non-smoking room, but it smelled like burnt cigarettes. I left four days early and wasn't refunded for the nights I didn't use. They said there were no refunds, though I never saw a sign about that when I checked in. If I'd known, I'd have paid by the day. There was nowhere to hang clothes and no lamp. The hot and cold water were switched at the sink, and getting out of the location is really hard at certain times. Maybe because I was in the second-to-last room, the internet wouldn't work. The TV had lines, and it only had Cox cable with no streaming option.

The location is great, except for having to turn left when leaving. I stayed a week and liked the room, but the key kept failing for long stretches, so I was constantly going to the office to have it recharged. After a few days it stopped working completely, including the tap master key, and they had to open the knob with a metal key.

I was there about two months and got attacked by spiders. They sprayed my room with greasy chemicals without giving me enough time to move my things first. Twice, my door was left wide open while I was asleep, which put me in danger. They overcharged me several times. Jeff at a safety issue they didn't stop, and when I went to the hospital for six days, they refused to give me the belongings I'd left in my room. They're rude and dismissive to the core. I paid for my own cleaning supplies, and twice I went three or four days without sheets and had to buy my own. They refused laundry service. I'll pursue this legally. Don't stay here, they won't put your interests or safety first.

The place has cleaned up a lot, and the staff are very humble and polite. It's quiet, except for the noise from the busy highway.
