Best Western Plus Denton Inn & Suites

Our group got four rooms close together, and the staff were friendly. The location worked perfectly for our destinations, with several places to eat within walking distance. Breakfast was average, as expected with BW. The stay was great apart from the internet, which kept dropping and wouldn't hold a connection.

The room wasn't cleaned even though we took down the Do Not Disturb sign at 8:30 in the morning, well before the posted 11am deadline. At noon, it looked like housekeeping was nearly done for the day. When I asked a maid, she blamed the sign being up earlier and said she'd only give us clean towels, not clean the room. The rooms are nicely furnished and very clean, and the hot breakfast was pretty good. But finding a channel on the big TV was awful. There was no guide, so you had to scroll through everything, and I couldn't even find Sunday's football game. They should leave a printed channel guide in the room.

Maybe next time I'll pay more for a better room. This Sour Dough "8" felt like a science project: the sink was pulling away from the wall, and the TV remote's battery cover was literally coming off. I guess I shouldn't complain too much, at least the ceiling didn't leak or collapse.

The rooms are cleaned every day, but the breakfast is awful. The coffee machine and waffle maker don't work, the eggs are nasty, and there's not enough food for all the guests. I've always chosen Best Western, but this one just doesn't measure up. Some of my workers also said the guest laundry isn't good.
