Six weeks after my stay, I'm still waking up scratching. This morning my spouse found a bed bug, and now I'm dealing with cleaning my home as well as the discomfort. About two weeks after visiting for the Eclipse, I developed an intense itch on my right arm that spread to my torso and shoulders. My doctor thought it might be an allergic reaction to something like the sheets or detergent and suggested antihistamines. I believed that and wrote an earlier review praising the customer service while advising people to wait until the renovations were done. A bed bug is totally unacceptable, and nobody should have to go through this over a substandard $70 room. I'm being honest: don't stay here.

The room was filthy, with crumbs and dirt across the floor, and a rank, sour smell hit us when we opened the door. There was no electricity, so we didn't stay. They still charged us for one night and wouldn't refund it. Worst room ever, definitely zero stars.

I couldn't get past the first part of the room. It smelled, the paint was peeling, the bed looked so dirty I was afraid to put anything on it, and the trash cans were still full. The old building looked like it might be better inside, but I was completely wrong. I paid almost $70, went downstairs to ask for a refund, and got the money back on my card three days later. That's the only reason I'm giving one star.

We didn't even stay a whole night, and I'm disappointed. There were wall holes and gouges, the room smelled strange and felt unclean, the ceiling stucco was coming off, and the lumpy pillows were awful. The door was hard to lock, the fire alarm was missing, and I was afraid to shower. We had to check in through a window around a creepy corner, and the area felt shady. The company's photos show the place very inaccurately, maybe they were taken on opening day 20 years ago, give or take. Calling the hotel didn't help because nobody answers. Housekeeping clearly hadn't cleaned properly. I'm not coming back.
