Best Western Plus Denver City Hotel and Suites

The room was comfy, smelled nice, and was super clean. The breakfast area was a different story: a woman tried to keep me and my service animal out. I pointed to the patches on his vest and explained he was a service animal, not a pet, but she kept arguing, so I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor looked at a sheet of paper for about a minute, then asked if he had fleas or ticks. He didn't. She finally said to keep him next to me, after being a bit verbally rude too. 🤣

It’s a good place overall. The lobby carpet is pretty worn, and a couple of gym machines, the orbital walker and hit bike, could use some attention.

I paid $1,033 for a week and had to push just to get basic room amenities. The TV was broken from Monday, when I checked in, until Friday evening. I’d told them at arrival that I planned to stay 6-8 weeks, but they later said I had to leave for two days midweek because they’d booked my room in advance. The way this place is run convinced me never to stay at another best Western. It felt like they were overcharging because there’s no competition in town. I’d drive an extra 20 minutes and stay elsewhere.

The view from my window didn't really win me over, but the place itself was very clean. Staff were nice, and honestly should be paid more. Breakfast was decent, and the coffee machine was amazing.
