The room and bathroom were very clean and seemed well kept, so my stay was great. Valet was a bit pricey at $63 per night, but there’s a parking garage almost across the street that cost much less. The restaurant was average, though convenient for grabbing a quick takeout meal.

The bed was better than average and I slept well. I was in town for a conference and was happy with my hotel choice, especially since downtown Denver is so walkable. The staff were friendly, and I appreciated that the bar was still open after 9 pm when I arrived late and wanted some food and a cocktail.

We came for NYE and a hockey game, and it was such a treat. They had game prizes and complimentary champagne for guests 21 and over. Staff checked IDs, but were kind and thorough. The rooms and hallways feel luxurious while staying simple, and the hotel supports an electronic key. The toiletries were great, though the shower heads were lower than I expected. They only provide the towels for a single stay, so ask if you need more. The six elevators can get backed up badly. We got out of ours and saw the line stretching almost to the escalators. Still, the place was beautiful, and we’d absolutely stay again.

The room was spotless, spacious, and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast had lots of choices and tasted great, and the whole place felt relaxing and elegant. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in onward, and I felt welcome and well cared for. I’d definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and quality.

The location near Union Station made getting to and from the airport easy, and we didn’t need a car for our downtown plans. The beds were decently comfortable, but the stay was far below the four-star Hilton experience I expected. We booked through Expedia for a flight deal that put the hotel at $139 a night. I wondered more than once if we got worse rooms or service because we used a third party. It felt like a low-end three-star hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you expect that level and pay a matching price. The first room was hot, set to 75 with no AC option, while the hallways were freezing and required a coat. Towels were scratchy and we kept running short. The toilet paper was cheap, and the Starbucks coffee was cold despite costing $10. There was techno-like music for over 12 hours. The room phone wasn’t connected, and the front desk didn’t answer when I called from my cell, so at 12:30 am I had to go down and ask security to get the room to turn it down. The hotel seemed to be cutting corners: broken tub hardware, a loose lamp, and filthy ceiling tiles. I had swollen eyes, a runny nose, and sneezing on the 9th floor. After I reported the allergic reaction, housekeeping didn’t do the deep clean we’d agreed on, so we eventually changed rooms. Another guest on our floor told me their fridge was leaking while I was downstairs swapping keys. The second room had a smaller bed than we booked, thin walls, a broken shower door, and a TV whose audio was out of sync, making it unenjoyable to stay in and watch anything. We stayed in the room anyway because I wasn’t allergic to it and the whole hotel seemed off. Prices in the sundry shop rang up higher than the labels, staff interactions felt odd, and getting a receipt took follow-up. We were charged for water that seemed free for Hilton members, but apparently that only applies to certain tiers. One or two problems would have been manageable, but all of it together was disappointing. I’d have switched hotels if I hadn’t prepaid. They offered points for my account as a courtesy, but I would have preferred an actually enjoyable stay. I also considered renting a car, but decided against it because valet parking was extremely expensive at $64. I booked the Hilton through Expedia with no second thoughts about a four-star property. It had the Hilton name, but it didn’t feel like the quality I expected. Include just a few pics, not everything pictured.
