The Curtis Park Club

The quiet neighborhood is a highlight, with local cafes nearby and downtown Denver only a short drive away. It's a good spot if you like exploring walkable areas. The room was clean and decorated with a distinctive rustic feel, and the bed and fresh linens were comfortable. A leaky faucet and slightly noisy air conditioner made it a bit less relaxing, though. The Curtis Park Club is a charming little boutique hotel with a cozy, vintage style. There's no front desk, so check-in felt impersonal. Everything is handled by text or email, which is convenient but not great if you prefer face-to-face service. Staff responded, but only virtually. For the price, I expected more amenities. There's no daily cleaning or breakfast, and hotel-style services are limited. It feels more like an upscale Airbnb than a traditional hotel.

There’s plenty of room to gather here, with several bedrooms and two big shared spaces, so it could work really well for a larger group. It’s a charming old property, though it used to be a bed and breakfast and now there’s no breakfast or staff on site.

My fiancé and I booked this Airbnb in May while visiting Red Rocks for a concert. When we were out at the show, someone experiencing homelessness got through the gate and front door and into our room. It had a pin pad lock, and we always locked it when we left. Management had footage of what happened, and more than $1,000 worth of our belongings was taken. The host kindly refunded our stay, which is why I’m giving one star, but we had to cover the cost of our things ourselves. Do not stay here.

The staff were so helpful, even when I’d misread checkout and wasn’t ready to leave on time. Getting in and out was easy, too. Our room was warm and snug, with a gas fireplace and a roomy bathroom, just what I wanted on a snowy winter night. Curtis Park Club is on the western edge of the hip RiNo district, so it’s handy for LoDo restaurants and nightlife, Coors Field, and Ball Arena. There are also great restaurants, breweries, wineries, and shops nearby. It’s a comfy, cozy place at an affordable price, and I’d absolutely stay here on my next Denver visit. P.S. Walk a few streets over to Curtis Park Deli for the best sandwiches you’ll ever have.
