The bathroom looked clean, though the first flush smelled like bleach. The mattress had a newer zip-up protector and the sheets seemed clean, and at first I saw no sign of bed bugs. But in the morning, I found a bug on a pillow that matched a bed bug photo on Google exactly. The blanket had lots of cigarette burns and what looked like a large feces stain, so we took off all the bedding. The fabric headboard was filthy, and we kept our shoes on and stayed away from it. The fridge worked but leaked all night, leaving the old, large TV sitting in a puddle by morning. The outside looked okay, but inside it was old and musty. Don't stay here. Even at ten dollars a night it wouldn't be worth it. I'd sleep in my car before staying there again. Yuck, they should be ashamed.

Looking for some peace and quiet? I'd stay somewhere else. Tom, the supposed manager, was a constant nuisance, walking around drunk and going on about being “The King” and reciting Bible verses. He was so drunk early in the day that by early afternoon he'd be locked in his room, passed out. The owner apparently doesn't know that Tom leaves people trying to rent rooms completely ignored, costing the place potential customers. Totally out of control and annoying.

The beds were stiff, the pillows felt like rocks, and the whole place made us uncomfortable. When we lifted the covers to check for bed bugs, like we do at every hotel, we found holes starting to form inside the comforter. The room was dirty, and the man running the place was extremely rude. The bathroom door was a broken sliding accordion style door, like one you might put in front of a patio glass door, with a huge hole you could see straight through. For the ridiculous $105 I paid, I could've found somewhere cleaner with much friendlier staff. Please don't go here.

The only issue I had was that the Wi-Fi didn't work. Everything else in the room was clean, the sheets were all there, and everything worked. I didn't see any bugs, and there were no leaks. The owner seemed nice and helpful. I think the negative reviews are false. Pretty nice for a cheap motel.
