AC Hotel Des Moines East Village

Upstairs, the bar had great views of the Iowa State Capitol, and the whole staff was wonderful. We also met the general manager and operating partner, Connor Adamson, who was very welcoming and hospitable. We felt looked after throughout our downtown stay. The AC Hotel by Marriott Des Moines Downtown had modern, sleek style, and the rooms were just right. They were incredibly clean, some of the cleanest we’ve stayed in. For us, it’s the only hotel option in Des Moines. Highly recommend.

The suite had a full kitchen with an oven, and the washer and dryer in the unit were such a bonus. I do laundry midweek so I don’t have to check a bag, and that made this place much better for me than the Element I’d planned to stay at. I was there three weeks ago, so I don’t remember every detail, but the staff were great. I stayed in the two bedroom suite. There are photos of both bedrooms and both bathrooms, though the living room picture isn’t very good. You can at least see the couch, which was extremely uncomfortable. Its back is straight up and down, and sitting on it was dreadful. I don’t understand buying a couch for looks instead of comfort.

Connor, the general manager, took great care of us, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was really clean, and being downtown made it easy to get around. I really enjoyed staying at Republic on Grand and would highly recommend it for a visit to Des Moines.

After a long night of flying, Josh greeted me and was really accommodating. When I told him about the trip, he was even apologetic about what I’d gone through. My room was spacious and clean, and the bed was more comfortable than my one at home. In the morning, Connor was working as the breakfast attendant. I couldn’t sit down for breakfast, but he still made a great impression. My one night at the AC Hotel was the best stay I’ve had in a long time. When I’m back in Des Moines, this is where I’ll stay, and I’ll recommend it to friends and family.
