I’m nine months sober now and slowly putting my life back together. Bella Monte helped save my life when I was in a dark place, and the care I got there is why I’m still here with a chance at success. I owe that to everyone at the facility. There are too many people to name, and I love them all for taking such amazing care of me. This was unlike anywhere I’d been before. During a difficult time, every staff member and counselor gave me so much love and reminded me life was still worth fighting for. They went far beyond what they had to, and even a hard-headed person like me could finally let down the walls I’d spent so long building and get to the heart of my addiction and destructive behavior. Bella Monte is a “Magical Island.” My morning view, coffee in hand before working on myself, was breathtaking.

The peace and quiet at Bella monte gave me exactly what I needed after drug abuse, and this is where my life began to change. This was my sixth rehab, and it’s the best one I’ve attended. The groups are small, which I liked, and I got better one-on-ones and a chance to talk through all my problems. The rooms were clean, private, and comfortable, with amazing beds, though the pillows weren’t great, honestly. Food was varied, with three hot meals a day, plus the option to make your own food and snack throughout the day. It’s basically a five-star resort rehab. Every staff member who was there in April 2025 will always be in my heart. They listened with open hearts and without judgment, and they’re part of my recovery and the reason I’m still sober. If you may need proof that you completed a program for court, custody, renting an apartment, or applying for government assistance, this is not the program to choose. I’ve called more than 10 times over two weeks asking for completion proof because otherwise I could lose my apartment and end up on the streets with my children while trying to find somewhere that doesn’t background check. You don’t want to live in places like that with kids. I haven’t received any follow-up, only repeated assurances that someone will contact me. They say they’ll pass the message to “medical records,” as if they don’t all work in a shared area. Truly shameful. Find people who will go out of their way to help addicts, not places that forget you once you’re off their active billing list.
