The O Spa

It was a nice one-night stay, and the resort was quiet with three pools to choose from. The new manager seems to care a lot about his role and about the hotel doing well. Just be sure to get the door codes and Wi-Fi details so you don’t get locked out.

The O Spa Resort has been my favorite hotel since my first visit, and my partner and I keep coming back whenever we go to the Hot Dessert. The rooms are always clean, and the pool and Jacuzzi Lounge are wonderful. Jia and Rick are especially friendly, and the customer service team is always there to help. I’m Elisa, and I’m so happy I found this lovely place. If you’re looking for somewhere welcoming for open-minded people, I recommend it to everyone. Thanks so much to all the staff, you’re the best. I’ll be back on my next trip.

Rick, the owner, went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. The hotel itself is breathtaking, a real oasis in the desert, and the hot springs felt truly healing. My girlfriend loved her massage, and the music set a great vibe. We’ll be back very soon. I’d highly recommend it for a couples retreat or a solo escape.

I’ve never written a review before, but this was the strangest and most upsetting experience I’ve had at an establishment, especially one I paid to stay at. Getting in was a problem at first. Once I made it inside, I helped other guests who were also confused get in too. The room wasn’t ready, which I could accept, but then I learned the main pool was broken. There was only one pool and two smaller tubs, so I texted to ask about it. When I finally got to my room, the owner was peering through my window and yelling at me. I’d just put on my bathing suit, so I wasn’t going to open the door. I asked if he was Rick, since I’d been told the owner’s name and assumed this was the person looking in. I was hurriedly putting clothes on. He hadn’t even knocked to raise the issues in a normal, let alone professional, way. By then I was stunned. When I opened the door to address what had happened, he forcefully asked what my issue was. My main concern at that point was the pool not working, but he said that wasn’t true and told me I wasn’t welcome at his establishment. I didn’t care about staying after that. He said he would refund me, which seemed like the right solution, but when I asked about it he snapped that I had to wait. I have no trust in this person or the establishment. After a wonderful week in Desert, Hot Springs and at other places I’ve visited here, I was just trying somewhere new. Given how extreme this was, I had to share.
