I have never felt so humiliated. My siblings and I had a room for two nights. When we came down for breakfast in the morning, Elisha asked how our stay was and what room we were in. There was nobody else downstairs yet. Then the African American man from the front desk, the skinny one I'd seen smoking outside, came over to ask for our name and room number. I gave him the wrong room number by mistake. He came back, said out loud that his records didn't match any of that information, and waved his hands at us as he told us to go ahead and eat. I texted my sister upstairs to check the number, realized I'd mixed it up, and gave him the right one. He returned saying he still didn't have that information and again told us to go ahead and eat. My sister came down with the card, since she'd been the last one upstairs. Neither worker had been there the night before, so they didn't know what was happening. They both went quiet as we got the cart to take our belongings upstairs. When I asked the front desk for their names, the African American woman with short hair came out to explain. I stopped her and said I just wanted her name. They did all of this in front of our daughter, and by then other guests were eating and had heard everything. They asked us for our information when they hadn't asked anyone else.

I spent two weeks here for work training. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. Free wifi and breakfast each day were a nice bonus.

Mr. Nick and the lovely April helped me get several business documents printed. Their genuine friendliness and professionalism are why this has become my Dallas go-to spot. I stayed here last year, and it's the little extras that count.

The location is convenient and the area is nice, but that's about all I can praise. We were in Room 125 for three nights, directly below a room that sounded like a track meet. From 8 a.m. until midnight each day, it seemed as though small children were running back and forth without stopping. I reported the noise, and the clerk apologized, but came across as dismissive, almost like the children were hers. There was only one working elevator out of two, so waits were long, and the hotel's only ice machine was broken the entire time. I also had to kill a large waterbug in the bathroom. The room smelled old and musty enough that I used my Bath & Body Works room spray to make it bearable. Breakfast was lukewarm every day, so I had to reheat it in the microwave. This three-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express in DeSoto, TX (Wintergreen Road) didn't meet the standard I expect. Unless cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service improve significantly, I won't return.
