Beachside Inn

That blueberry bread people mention in the reviews? There was a loaf waiting in our room when we arrived, and it was delicious. We had a wonderful stay from the easy check-in to the amazingly clean rooms. The beds were the best, the bathroom and dressing area had plenty of space, and the staff were fantastic. Now I understand why this place gets such high ratings. I’m glad we chose it and will definitely return.

For our November wedding, nearly everyone on our guest list stayed at Beachside Inn, and we all had great things to say. The location was a big part of why I fell for Destin on my first visit. The beach entrance is just 200 feet away, and you can walk to everything. The rooms are very large, feel just right, and have everything you need. We were welcomed so warmly by the friendly staff. Camile's, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is an ideal bonus. I’d choose this place for a getaway of any size.

Camille’s restaurant was phenomenal, and the pool and hot tub were a lovely bonus. The beach access is just across the street. Our room was spotless, and the staff made us feel so welcome. I loved everything about this place and highly recommend Beachside Inn.

The stay itself was good, and people seemed welcoming, but a couple of things bothered me. As a dog trainer, I didn’t like seeing their dog wandering around without a leash. This is a dog friendly place, but that doesn’t mean every guest’s dog is friendly with other dogs. I also have young kids, and I can’t feel comfortable with a random dog as tall as they are around them. The room, beds, and floors seemed clean. Then, on checkout morning, I picked up my shoes and a roach ran out of the bathroom. Disgusting. I was very glad we were leaving, so we grabbed our bags and got out quickly. The photo shows the roach upside down on a paper towel after we chased and squished it.
