The location was pretty good for the price, and the shower had hot water with great pressure. The room itself was clean. But it was a noisy Saturday night, with people shutting doors all around the hotel and loud music outside from another business. Not their fault, but trying to sleep at midnight after a long day was rough. The TV didn't work, the darkening shades wouldn't close fully, and both the room and bathroom lighting were terrible. Breakfast was basic and cost extra, and valet was $55. It wasn't the worst hotel I've stayed in, though definitely not the best.

I'm there once a month and have been treated kindly every time, from my first stay through now. The team is welcoming, always smiling, and checks whether I need anything. They know me by name now, even though I only visit monthly, and those small touches are why I keep coming back. Of the hotels downtown, this is still my choice. The beds are nice, the TV channels are just right, and the water pressure is consistently good. A personal thank-you to Mr. Mike on nights and Ms. Jerie in the morning at the front desk for always looking after me. That above-and-beyond service deserves to be recognized.

For those room rates, having to pay another $55 to park is absurd. There's no pool, no meal discount for diamond members, and the "smart" features on the smart TVs are disabled. They charge like the Ritz, so I'd go a little farther out and stay somewhere else. Maybe they'll get the hint when nobody comes.

When I mentioned it at checkout, another woman said she'd heard the same banging. The rooms were just plain noisy.
