The Saloon gives you the whole yard, with the pool, Jacuzzi, and a huge fire pit. Inside, there’s a pool table and bar downstairs, then a cozy upstairs space with dark wood and a treehouse feel. It’s a great spot to gather your closest friends. The place has three different stays, each with its own character. The Barracks feels like a tiny home, with a double tub and shower in a peaceful sauna-style area. It seems especially suited to an older couple looking for a serene, romantic stay with some luxury. The Bathouse is more of a comfortable camping setup, with a vintage camper and a private enclosed outdoor area for a romantic bath. It has what you need to camp comfortably. The whole property blends a historic, rustic feel with a welcoming home atmosphere. This five-acre retreat near Houston is a real treat, whether you’re in town for an event in Galveston or want a special visit with your partner. Imagine a glass of wine, favorite music, and candlelight while soaking in the tub.

The owners have put so many thoughtful touches into the different houses that it’s easy to spend your whole stay on the property. The pool, outdoor tubs and showers, firepits, and chimeneas all add to the feel of the place. Cedar Oaks Inn is a little paradise, and easily my best experience in Texas. I recommend it to anyone I know heading south.

The gardens and pool make Cedar Oaks INN feel like a hidden world in Dickinson, TX. There are flowers and plants everywhere, little ponds and water features, and a serene pool with a hot tub tucked among ivy and color. The owner’s hand-painted art adds even more personality to an interior that’s the best designed I’ve seen. We’ve stayed a few different times, in both the Saloon and the Bath House, and each visit felt unique, remarkable, and incredibly romantic. You almost feel as if you’ve stepped through a fairy portal into a secret garden, then leave feeling like it was a fever dream.

Tonya’s breakfasts were stellar, and the owners did so much to make us feel at home. We came as a small group for a girls’ weekend, and there was far more to admire than we could take in during one day. The property is full of foliage, life, and charm, and the photos really don’t capture it. We can’t wait to come back and discover more of its magic.

The hosts were so gracious about every need, and somehow there was already everything you could want. There are bubbling Brooks behind the cabins, and the whole setting felt peaceful and serene. The grounds looked like an enchanted forest from a fairytale, hard to believe we were still in Texas. The pool was pristine, with crystal turquoise water, and every morning’s breakfast was five star, with mimosas. We travel all over the country, and this was the greatest bed and breakfast experience we’ve had. If I could give it 20/10, I would. We can’t wait to return.
