I've stayed at this hotel since the end of August, and my room has only been cleaned twice. I was told housekeeping didn't want to enter because it was nasty, but the only cleanings were by a woman with the previous managers. After Scott took over, it took a month for him to send anyone up. I offered to clean it myself if he let me use supplies, but two months later it still hadn't been cleaned, not even vacuumed, with fresh sheets or towels. There's no air conditioning and no kitchens. Also, the new manager Scott was rude to my mom when she came to pick me up for the holidays. He stood by her car while I was outside and asked what she was doing there, even though I'd told him she was coming. After moving so she could open the door and get out, he kept going at her and telling her she wasn't welcome. She felt threatened by a strange grown man standing at her window. He's a liar and rude. Don't come here.

We only stayed because we'd booked online and arrived late at night, and didn't want to pay for another hotel. The front desk staff were extremely rude, and this was one of the dirtiest places I've stayed. The carpet was cut away around the beds, exposing the padding for about a foot. The heater didn't work, and they had two space heaters, one of which was broken. There were no fire alarms, either. I don't expect a cheap place to be anything like a Hilton, especially when we're going skiing or snowboarding, but I'd gladly pay more to avoid staying here. I'd strongly suggest staying somewhere else.

The room was clean, and the café next door had good food and really nice people. The woman at the desk was kind and helpful when we were in a tough spot, and my babysitter was impressed with the room, saying it was better than the Grand Canyon Lodge where we’d stayed the night before.

The front desk woman was sweet, but the stay was awful for the price, especially with no refund. We got our room around 7:40 p.m. and it smelled moldy and looked run-down. The TV and DirecTV box had no remote, and I couldn't switch to HDMI by hand to use my Fire Stick. The office was closed when I went to ask for help. I called the after-hours number over 100 times across two hours, but it went straight to a busy signal every time, like the phone was off the hook.

After we asked management for a second time about a refund, the owner rudely told me to leave and called the police. When I asked for his last name, he snapped, “What does it matter?!” The police agreed nobody should stay there and suggested the Silver Inn, where we're writing this from a simple, clean, comfortable room. I might file a civil claim, not over the $76 but on principle. The owner's response to another review said the place was being renovated early last year. Nothing has changed. If this is your last option, sleep in your car or drive to Denver. I bet even the jail here is nicer. We arrived to find our first room worse than the pictures I included: bugs, scabs on the sheets, trash that hadn't been emptied, something like lotion on the sink, used towels, and an unmade bed. Check-in felt sketchy. They moved us to the room we photographed, but it was about 90 degrees inside and smelled strongly of mold. The fridge was nasty, and the whole place felt like a murder scene. You'd think they were running a haunted house. Seriously, read this before booking. Worst ever, just sleep in your car.
