Quality Inn Dillon

We had people fighting outside our room within 35 minutes of arriving. I’m not staying here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Kay at the front desk was very nice, though, and the mess here wasn’t her fault. The room was dirty and outdated, with a shower that had exposed features. There was nearly a whole blunt between the bed and nightstand, boxers shoved into the corners of the nightstand, and writing on the lampshade. I was appalled, especially since the night cost $100 and they basically told me they wouldn’t refund it. I’ll dispute the charge with my bank. They offered to move us, but I’d already sprayed the beds with my Lysol, my two-year-old son was sleeping peacefully, and I was in my pajamas by the time I found the boxers and blunt. The beds were like rocks, lol, but at least the bed and towels were clean. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The staff were wonderful. The room had a few problems: the sink drained slowly, the curtains had dirty spots, the fridge never got cold, and the door trim was filthy. I got it clean with a little effort and Lysol wipes. My camera was dead, so my sister sent them along with her summary.

The location was good and the people were fine, but the room was filthy and badly outdated. There was mold in the tub and on the walls, the toilet seat was broken, and the shower barely had any pressure and never got hot. The place also smelled musty. A dead bug that looked like it had been there for days was on the filthy phone, which I wouldn’t want to put near my face. I took photos but couldn’t find anywhere to post them. You’d be better off going to the next exit.

I spent the night on the loveseat because the mattress felt like it had a spring sticking out. I’d also asked whether there was a microwave in the room. The attendant said to call back if there wasn’t one and she’d send someone with one. Then people outside were banging on doors, yelling for others to come out, and arguing about shooting each other. I was scared, wondering what I was supposed to do and whether I might catch a stray. I can’t shoot someone unless I’m in immediate danger. I figured the office or security would break it up, but the ruckus went on for about 20 minutes before they left or got tired. The next morning I asked the front desk why no one responded and told them how uncomfortable the beds were.
