Friendly, kind staff and a quiet, comfortable stay. It’s an older hotel, though it’s clean and well maintained. The price is good for the location, and breakfast is very basic, so don’t expect much. There’s no elevator, so ask for a first floor room if stairs or heavy bags are a concern.

We’ll use Silver Inn again. It’s quiet, good value, and the staff were attentive whenever we needed something. They wished my wife a happy birthday three or four times as they saw us coming and going, which was sweet. The rooms and hot tub and sauna were clean, and the grounds were well kept. The toilet is short, but it wasn’t a big deal. There are a few little things that could be improved, though it’s still a winner for the cost.

When our SUV wouldn’t start after a week in Breckenridge, Mrs Kipta helped us through a pretty stressful mess. We had five people and all our luggage, needed a tow, a ride, and somewhere to stay at short notice. My husband and I were calling hotels at the same time, and many didn’t even answer. Mrs Kipta did, and even arranged an early check-in at 10:30 a.m. though the hotel had been fully booked the night before. She didn’t charge extra. We couldn’t tell when the car would be repaired, since it was ninth in line. Mrs Kipta worked with us on the timing, let us stay past the usual 11 a.m. checkout, and didn’t ask us to pay for a second night until after 3 the next day, again with no extra charge. She and the staff were friendly and gave us lots of food suggestions. The clean, spacious, comfortable rooms and the continental breakfast each morning made things easier for our family of five. In an unexpected crisis, their kindness and hospitality meant a lot. I can’t thank this family owned hotel enough.

I was here for work and found the rooms clean and the staff great to deal with. Much of downtown is within walking distance. I’ll put this near the top of my list for personal trips.
