We booked because of the location, and that was a mistake. The online price was just over $110 a night, but the rate changed, and employees lied about which rooms were available. There was no real effort to make sure we got a clean room, and staff seemed unmoved by our basic requests. We arrived early and understood that we couldn’t check in yet, so I planned to wait and get work done. But there was no lobby, bathroom, Wi-Fi, or place to leave our bags. They put us on the third floor, despite our request for a first floor room because we had lots of luggage, and said everything else was booked. Room 319 was disgusting, with trash everywhere, both twin beds slept in and torn apart, and dirty towels on the floor. I went down to ask for another room. They said 109 was available, so I asked for something on the third floor since I’d already hauled the bags upstairs. They gave us room 320, but its sink faucet was broken. I ended up taking room 109 for over $200 because they said it was all they had, despite having said it wasn’t available earlier. I’d sleep under a bridge before coming back. If you choose to stay here, good luck.

The rooms were clean, though the pillows were extremely lumpy. It’s an average hotel, and there’s no elevator, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage and aren’t on the first floor.

The desk staff were very nice and helpful, but getting into the room was a hassle. Neither of our key cards worked, and after they gave us two replacements, only one worked, even after several tries. The hotel was one of the few options after a concert at the Amphitheater, and the location is good, but the room was extremely dated. The shower pressure was low and the water kept swinging from cold to scalding. The coffee pot spilled water everywhere, the pillows were a joke, and the bedding was paper thin. At least the heater and A/C worked. We’re not usually picky about rooms, especially for a last-minute one-night stay, but we probably won’t come back unless the place gets updated.

What made me feel uneasy was the side entrance. It looked secure and had a key-card reader, but anyone could walk right in without a card. That’s a serious safety concern, especially if you’re traveling alone, and I didn’t feel safe staying there. The hotel also felt grimy and neglected. The carpets throughout the building were visibly dirty, my curtains were stained, and the towels looked like they hadn’t been white in years. It left me questioning how well anything was cleaned. I don’t usually post reviews, but after this stay I felt I had to. I won’t return, and I’d suggest finding somewhere else.
